The Princess Bride
Recently in English class, we learned something about The Princess Bride. We learned that "original author", S. Morgenstern, was all apart of William Goldman's imagination. When I heard this I could not believe it. In the beginning of the book, there is a whole section where Goldman talks about S. Morgenstern's unabridged version of The Princess Bride. Apparently, some of it was lies. S. Morgenstern does not exist and he did not right The Princess Bride at all. I was amazed at how creative Goldman was. He made up all the things he had wrote about how he was read the original The Princess Bride. The whole class' mouthes were open. The author note was about 50 pages long and we did not know that some of what we were reading at the time were lies. Goldman is a very imaginative man to not only come up with S. Morgenstern, but to come up with the characters in his book.
